Bad book quality add on
When the author uses Shakespeare to make a character seem round and intelligent, then has the plot surround a number of his plays.
This is, first off, terribly over done and rarely done well (ahem Twilight). As a result, your story line becomes cheap. Your characters and their dark innards do not unfold into my mind with the mention if Shakespeare. so please stop it.
The characteristics of a horrible book
1) forced dialogue
2) over explanations
-most importantly about the “edge in her voice” or the “soft clicking of her heels”
3) not necessarily incorrect but ultimately bad grammar
4) predictable endings
5) vampires
6) unrealistic acts of heroism
7) gaudy romance
8) lack of relatable feelings or topics
9) unclear situations
